When i first loaded the video i thought it was bugged cos shooter mcgavin was upside-down. Then the camera panned up and all was fine

The Enterprise would probably be a lot more successful in battle if they spent less time talking and more time spamming phasers and torpedoes.

this is so true damn it…

If they shot their weapons all of the time, it would just be another crappy stereotypical sci-fi show. The great dialogue and brilliant acting is why TNG is way ahead of the rest.

She was really good back then too. It’s just that when you are among a cast that good, it’s hard to stand out. Yes, she was the weakest as far as what was written for her, but if you were the writers, wouldn’t you concentrate on Picard, Data, Riker, and Worf first? They never wanted DC to leave, it was her choice (had a baby or something I think).

What bugs me is why not commence a rapid fire sequence of all photon torpedoes and phasers.

” I’ve always know the risks that come with a Starfleet uniform. If I am to die in one…I’d like my death to count for something.”———-beautifully said Tasha (Denise)

She left because she thought she was given weak stories. When she came back to do this episode, I remember reading her say something like if they’d given her more storylines like this, she wouldn’t have left.

Yes, like I said, when you are in the company of a cast such as TNG (Picard, Data, Riker, Worf; not to mention Whoopi); it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle, even if you are really good (as DC was).

So true.

I sense that you weren’t supposed to be in this time, you were meant to be a prostitute in the other timeline, serving trixs for romulans at 5 bars of latinum a pop!
By trekie01, November 21, 2009 @ 12:22 pm
one of the best TNG episodes ever
By tvp900, November 30, 2009 @ 12:14 pm
because they’d overheat really quickly, just like if any other weapon was firing nonstop without time to cool down
By katey1dog, November 30, 2009 @ 4:16 pm
They’ve done it before in prior episodes. Plus this is the battleship version of the Galaxy Class Starship. It should have plenty of heat exchangers for the primary and secondary weapons systems.

Absolutely retarded in that a power as massive as the Federation would be in danger of being defeated by the Klingons. Also, the Enterprise D hardly fired @ all, a spread of torpedoes (which should have done far more damage) and a phaser spread. I am reminded of “The Survivors” where the Enterprise commenced “rapid fire with all weapons on full”. They didn’t do that here.

I love this episode but I think it woulda been cooler if the Borg was the threat instead of the Klingons. They never met Q in this timeline so they were not prepared when the Borg came.

anyone else think it’s funny that Denise Crosby is kissing a guy when shes gay as hell?
By SWVRoma, December 9, 2009 @ 4:50 pm
I’m sure her husband and son would appreciate that revelation.
By 1040zeus, December 10, 2009 @ 8:15 pm
they see the klingons coming! how come the enterprise C haul ass and get in the rift?
By swimfastfly27, December 10, 2009 @ 10:16 pm
The new captain of the Enterprise-C is very Kirk-like. Is that a requisite for that time period?
By adam22833, December 13, 2009 @ 12:24 am
You kinda have to get back to basics for an episode like this, nothing like a fight with those Klingon monsters.
