What brings you the most happiness? Money provides comfort, not happiness. The two can work together but to have real happiness you have to be able to live in the moment and surround yourself with good people. As a financial professional I see many people who are infatuated with money and wealth. But what is real wealth? Is it having all kinds of money but no one to share your success with equal to real happiness? That’s for everyone to decide for themselves. I can tell you from what I observe in my clients that I have one who’s whole life seems to be caught up in knowing every possible CEO of every company and he makes plenty of money from where I sit, yet he is always worried. Then I know another guy who actually makes probably twice as much, has built a much bigger company and he’s in great spirits whenever I see him. So they both make a lot of money, but the difference is the second guy who’s always happy is always expressing gratitude for what he has while the first guy is always complaining about how much money he pays people and how they never give him what he’s looking for. Another way to sum it up is one is never satisfied and the second is always overflowing with satisfaction, always grateful and always content.
